6686 Sports reported on November 12 that the Portuguese team officially announced that goalkeeper José Sao, who played for Wolves, was allowed to leave the team due to the death of his grandfather and will not play in the game against Ireland.
Currently, Martinez has recruited the 21-year-old goalkeeper Carvalho from the Portuguese U21 national team who plays for the Braga B team. The U21 team is also training at the football base in Oeilas City, so recruiting a goalkeeper from the youth team is the most practical solution to solve Sar's sudden absence.
It is reported that Sa is expected to rejoin the team before the game against Armenia.
